Based around Culham Court, with the River Thames winding through it, Culham shoot offers something for everyone. With challenging pheasants off the high banks overlooking the river, and partridges on the rolling downland at Remenham, the shoot at Culham is based in one of Southern England’s most beautiful locations.
Guests are fully catered for with a light breakfast on arrival in The Lunch Hut. Later in the morning, elevenses are served with produce from the Estate being used whenever possible. Lunch is taken back in The Lunch Hut, with a fine selection of food and wine available; all tastes can be catered for and we discuss the menus with all our clients well in advance of their day’s shooting.
At the end of the day, tea is served along with a wonderful homemade cake.
Rightly described as one of the best pheasant shoots within 75 miles of London, Hambleden Shoot offers high birds that one would normally associate with shoots in the West Country. Concentrating on quality over quantity, we only let a few days a year and places on them only become available very rarely.
All the entertaining for the shoot takes place at the Woodland Lodge, a purpose built building nestled deep in the woods and steep wooded valleys of Hambleden. There can be few better places to meet and enjoy a day’s sport so close to London.
Guests can be accomodated in the Stag and Huntsman Inn in Hambleden. With nine bedrooms, and a dining room that can be reserved for the exclusive use of shoot guests, it is the ideal loacation to stay before or after a day's shooting.
